Amazon teams up with TikTok and Pinterest to offer a new shopping experience

On August 8, Amazon revealed a new partnership with TikTok and Pinterest, The Information and Bloomberg report. Thanks to this collaboration, users will now be able to make purchases on Amazon directly from these social networks, without the need to leave the applications. To do this, they will simply have to connect their Amazon accounts with those of the platforms.
In a blog post, TikTok specified that Amazon product suggestions will be integrated as ads into users' “For You” feed. This section, which offers personalized content based on users' preferences, will allow them to make purchases directly.
An Amazon representative told Bloomberg that the partnership aims to simplify the shopping experience for users while opening up new opportunities for Amazon at a time when its growth is slowing. In this way, the e-commerce giant hopes to take advantage of the growing popularity of “social shopping” or “community shopping”. Amazon had already experimented with similar collaborations with other social networks like Instagram, Facebook, and Snapchat.
